Summer Festival
The
biggest outdoor event in SE9 in recent years is to be
held in Well Hall Pleasaunce in August.
WELL HALL
Well Hall Summer Festival promises a whole day out for all ages
with a variety of music, dancing, children activities, arts and crafts, a
SUMMER
beauty zone, a range of catering, together with farmers market and
delicatessen produce for sale.
FESTIVAL
The event, on Sunday August 30, is being co-ordinated by the
Friends group with funds from Greenwich Council as part of the
Parksfest/Create09 initiative.

On the main stage, in front of the Tudor Barn, will be Abba tribute

band ‘ABBA Illusion’ with popular opera cabaret singers Imogen
Snacks, refreshments and drinks
and Jack Day, a medley of favourites from the Greenwich Concert
Band, morris dancing and folk singing, concluding with an Indie
in the Tudor Barn
rockband.
Thai cuisine
Burgers, ices, popcorn, candyfloss
For children, there will be Punch and Judy concerts, a chance to
join in the dancing, make hats, paint pictures, have their faces
painted, model balloons and bounce on inflatables to their heart’s
‘Vanity Van’ mini-pampering
content. Other attractions will include farm animals from Maryon Tai Chi taster sessions
Wilson park and the ever-popular display of owls and falcons.

Sue King, chair of the Pleasaunce friends group, said: “It’s really
good that the council has backed groups such as ours to provide
events for the community. It should be a great day with something SUNDAY AUGUST 30TH
