an instructor is certified there is no need to
attend another clinic, the instructor just has
to recertify by turning in 25 hours of con-
tinuing education credit, such as attending
a nutrition talk at a local feed store, at-
tending an equine trade show, attending
horsemanship clinics, etc.

USDF Announces New
Certified Instructors
The United States Dressage Federa-
tion (USDF) is pleased to announce and
congratulate its new USDF Certified In-
structors from the testing held March 27-
29 in Kansas City, MO. The USDF
Instructor Certification program is de-
signed to set a standard of excellence in
dressage training and instruction in the
United States and to educate dressage rid-
ers, instructors, and aspiring instructors.
New USDF Certified Instructors in-
clude; Laurie Hedlund of Claremore, OK,
at Training through Second Level and
Susan Harris of Prospect, KY, Nicole Bel-
lah of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Melissa
Allen of Holden, MO, at Third through
Fourth Level.
“It is our pleasure to recognize these
accomplished individuals and we are
proud to have them as representatives of
the USDF Instructor Certification Pro-
gram,” stated Kathie Robertson, USDF
Senior Education Programs Coordinator.
