Metabolic typing is not new or conceptual. Historically, cultures ate according to
what their metabolic and genetic needs were, but the Western diet has diminished
the body’s sensitivity to these needs. Metabolic typing has been in development
since day one of human existence. It is simply understanding how to consume
foods and food grouping to allow optimal health and functionality of your body—
both mentally and physically. It has been scientifically proven for promoting health
and degenerative disease reversing for decades. Sounds easy? It is!
Humans have ruled the planet for hundreds of thousands of years. During this
time we have obviously needed to eat and drink to sustain life. Humans have lived
in different geographical locations that produce food sources specific or indig-
enous to that region. These are food sources, which are specific to that location’s
climate, terrain and water ways/sources. So the food sources would be different
for people living in a tropical climate as opposed to an arctic one. Over the course
of human evolution our ancestors all ate according to the availability of foods
around their region, which shaped and created our current metabolisms. This is
a very important factor for understanding the extreme relevance and value of
metabolic typing for your current metabolic needs.
Metabolic typing is based in science and takes the guesswork out of eating
correctly. Before industrialization, eating correctly was the only way. People
could only eat what was around their immediate areas. No mass transiting of
foods being shipped from one part of the world to the next. If you were living in
the freezing arctic you would not be eating vegetables and fruits. You would be
eating cold climate animals like seals and whales. If you lived near the sweltering
heat of the equator, that type of fare was not available and would bog down your
digestion creating immediate illness and degenerative changes in health over
time. That is exactly what we are seeing today! Many people are eating foods that
are not endogenous to their region and are unnatural to their genetic make-up.
Our human genetics do not favor change. Current scientific studies indicate
that it takes tens of thousands of years for humans to successfully adapt to
change. To clarify, I am not saying humans do not adapt. In fact we are constantly
adapting to everything from the way we use our bodies to the foods we eat. We
are programmed to adapt to anything and everything to survive. I am saying “suc-
cessful adaptation,” meaning to adapt without any loss or compensation around
the waist. Here is an example of poor adaptation. We currently consume more
sugar today than our bodies were designed to handle. On top of that, they are
mostly processed, denatured and synthetic sugars. The body reacts by creating a
higher-than-normal demand for insulin to stabilize blood glucose levels. Repeti-

unable to respond to the increased demand appropriately. This creates gateways

of how our bodies do adjust to poor nutritional choices, but at a very high cost.

America is a melting pot of diversity in ethnicities. Most are not native to this land
or region. We are all from different parts of the world and are mixes of two or more
ethnicities. After a brief understanding of human metabolic development, it is clear
and easy to understand that the one-size-fits-all approach to diet and health is, at
the very least, extremely flawed and potentially health/life threatening. Eating right
In today’s lifestyles, it seems eating healthy and correctly is become increas- for your metabolic type has been the rule since the start of human existence and is
ingly out of reach and “inconvenient” for many Americans. Couple that with new fundamental in sustaining optimal health and wellness and keeping degenerative
fad diets being published as fast as you can blink and propaganda from food diseases away, like type-2 diabetes which is wrecking havoc on Americans.
