Service 57 (Portsmouth – Warsash and return) is normally operated by Hoeford depot using step-entrance Dennis Darts. One such Dart, 46329 (N329 ECR),
broke down on Saturday 15/11/08. Hilsea provided Mercedes Benz Vario 50303 (S409 GUB) to deputise for 46329 for part of the day.

Closure of Kingston Crescent, Portsmouth.
The southbound carriageway of Kingston Crescent was closed from Tuesday 2/12/08 to Saturday 6/12/08 to allow work on the gas supply to a new medical
centre. This affected service 57. 57 (to Portsmouth City Centre) Diverted from London Road via Derby Road and Stamshaw Road to Mile End Road.
57 (to Fareham) Not affected.
Emergency Road Closure in Southampton.
A burst water main had to repaired in the Bargate area of Southampton on Monday 8/12/08. Work started at 1300 and was finished during the evening. Bus
services were affected as follows. 72 (to Gosport) & 80 (to Fareham) Diverted in Southampton from Castle Way via Portland Terrace, Civic Centre Road,
New Road, Six Dials, Kingsway, Houndwell Place and Briton Street to Queen’s Terrace. 72 & 80 (to Southampton) Not affected.

which was duly returned on 25/7/91. The remains of 587 had gone from Tile Hill College by 7/08, probably sold to a scrap dealer around 7/91. Any details
please?
