dedication – many went to considerable effort to attend. Sue Hunter from Vacation World in Braunton, Devon, told us: “I’ve used my day off to come
here because I really wanted to come to the roadshow. I found it very useful, especially because all of the suppliers were so different. It’s quite a way from where I live so I’m staying in a hostel tonight, and I’ll have to drive straight to work tomorrow, but I would definitely come again.” And some agents even risked marital strife, ditching their partners to be with us on Valentine’s Day in Edinburgh. The Co-operative Travel’s Lorraine Gerstenberger, said: “I met my husband at a wedding reception in this very Thistle hotel more than 20 years ago. How weird that I’m back here tonight on the most romantic day of the year!”
