Venture beyond
the sun loungers
There are plenty of activities
to offer get-up-and-go clients,
from taster experiences
to full-scale courses.
Katherine Lawrey reports
T
urkey, Cyprus and Greece are some of
our favourite fly-and-flop destinations,
but what happens when your clients
have the urge to be more active?
Whether they want to dabble in a particular
activity or devote their entire holiday to it, the
region has plenty of options to get the heart
racing. As Neilson managing director Pete Tyler
says: “If you want to do an activity or sport-based
holiday, you may as well go where conditions
are perfect and the weather is sunny and warm!”
PARAGLIDING
Dabble: An extremely popular area for
paragliding is Olu Deniz in Turkey (pictured).
Tandem glides take off from Babadag, other-
wise known as Father Mountain, which towers
above Olu Deniz. July and August prices are
in the region of £65 and bookings are taken
with local agents. Goldtrail offers seven nights’
all-inclusive at the Litera Fethiye Relax from
£426 including flights.
