Cadogan cuts
10% of its staff
CADOGAN Holidays is making about a tenth of its
55-strong Southampton workforce redundant.
The staff in line to go are likely to be new
recruits who are still on probation, and employees
in back-office roles, said Doug Mathieson, the
operator’s product and commercial director.
Cadogan’s forward sales are 10% down on last
year, and Mathieson said it had to make cuts to
ensure it was “fit for the future”.
“It is so tough at the moment that, like a lot of
people, we are having to cut back a bit. It’s not
of our choosing but we have to make some tough
decisions,” he said.
One long-standing member of staff, who asked
