SA Automotive sets up Detroit tech centre


US-based SA Automotive will officially open a new injection moulding technology centre in Livonia, close to Detroit, in the US next month that it hopes will become an incubator for developing production technologies.

Asahi Kasei opens US facility


Asahi Kasei Plastics North America (APNA) has officially opened its second North American plastics compound- ing facility at Athens in Alabama, US.

Metabolix to sell PHA business


Bioplastics manufacturer Metabolix has announced it is considering a sale of its specialty PHA biopolymers business. In a statement, it said it is currently engaged in discussions with interested parties that could lead to the sale of the unit as an operating business.
