EVENT PREVIEW TRAVEL BRIT AWARDS 2016

Travel Brits trumpets 10th year

The Travel Brit Awards celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. We asked the host suppliers about their ongoing support for the biggest celebration of the domestic travel trade

Agents in red, white and blue at last year’s event

We’re very much looking forward to

this year’s Travel Brits as it’s set to be the biggest celebration yet. We’re always struck by the enthusiasm of agents when we share our latest product offerings and the energy they put into promoting holidays at home. It’s great to see how the Brits has grown over the last decade. Tariq Khan, head of sales, Hoseasons

The Brits are a fantastic celebration of

our unique UK tourism product and a huge thank you to the fabulous agents who support the domestic sector. We look forward to celebrating with you and highlighting even more of the amazing moments that you can experience right here in the UK. Claire Burdall, marketing partnerships manager, VisitEngland

We love being part of the Brits –

everyone always has a great time! We have extended our UK programme again this year so it’s always interesting to hear how much (or little!) agents know about our tours. We look forward to seeing faces old and new. Claire Webb, business development manager, Great Rail Journeys

Newmarket is thrilled to be joining the Brits for the first time, especially in its

10th anniversary year. We cannot wait to see what surprises are in store on the day in Wales and we look forward to showing the agents our wide and ever-expanding portfolio of UK escorted holidays, sporting events, theatre breaks and shows. Richard Forde, agency sales manager, Newmarket Holidays

I am delighted that Abta LifeLine is the charity partner and part of the 10th

birthday celebrations. I look forward to raising the profile of the support the charity can give to agents and their families in their time of need and raising important funds. Trudie Drake, director, Abta LifeLine

n The Travel Brit Awards 2016 take place at Warner Leisure Hotels’ Bodelwyddan Castle Hotel on Sunday, July 10, with an afternoon of fun educational sessions followed by a gala dinner and awards.

Ten years is a great achievement for

this celebration of all things domestic, and SuperBreak is proud to have been there from the start. The UK short breaks market is such a varied product for agents to sell, and we look forward to both training and celebrating the sector with them on July 10. Graham Balmforth, national sales manager, SuperBreak

Shearings is thrilled to be celebrating 10

years of working in partnership with travel agents to promote and sell domestic holidays. So much has changed over the last 10 years for both the sector and our business and the Brits are a great way to showcase our range of product and hotels. Mike Bowers, national sales manager, Shearings Holidays

Airways Holidays, Condor Ferries and

Visit Guernsey are delighted be celebrating 10 years of the Brit Awards. It is a fabulous opportunity for us to thank and reward the agents who work so hard to support us every year. Plus, we get the chance to meet new agents to develop our business. Gill McCarthy, sales director, Airways Holidays

Abta is delighted to be attending The

Travel Brits again this year. The awards showcase the range of wonderful domestic products on offer and we are very excited to be a part of it.

Julie Jones, senior member services manager, Abta

The Travel Brit Awards is one of the

most highly anticipated events of the year for the Bourne Leisure team because it exclusively celebrates domestic tourism and gives us a chance to recognise the amazing agents who continue to support our three brands: Butlin’s, Haven and Warner Leisure Hotels. Louise Tansey, national sales manager, Bourne Leisure
