t is an artist’s gift to find inspiration wherever they go, and Michael Flohr is a perfect example of this. Known widely as a contemporary urban


painter, Flohr captures the essence of cities, bars, and cafés in a unique and memorable way with a style that he has established over the last 12 years. As people travel, they often buy postcards to send home and share about their experience, or to keep as a memento of the place to look back on in memorable daydreaming.


Michael Flohr has had the privilege to travel to many diverse places in the world, each allowing


a new side of inspiration to strike for his latest series, “Postcards From Around The World.” These experiences have contributed to an approach of creating pieces that will draw a viewer in, to feel like they are immersed in the place themselves, reminiscing about the time spent there. “My favorite city is Rome. It is an amazing experience to stand one block from the Roman ruins and then walk to the Piazza Navona.
