global in its reach. In a 90-day period, we received more than 1,600 responses from more than 64 countries. The survey consisted of 23 questions. percent) of the survey responders indicated yes to the creation of an international association at the individual level, and that they would become members. Based on the responses from the
survey, a second symposium was held at Heli-Expo 2015 in Orlando. Leading companies in our industry attended. Because of the articles I had written about the first symposium, I was asked to be the moderator for that symposium. The discussion focused on the six questions that garnered the most responses, and how best to implement them.
A unanimous decision was reached
to start the work to create IAHMP and I was asked to accept the position of president/CEO. I accepted, and so the journey began.
In December 2015, IAHMP was
duly registered in the state of Arizona as a public service non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation. Our paperwork has been submitted to the IRS for approval, and as we all know, they do not understand the term warp speed. As I am writing this article, we are in work to get the IAHMP Web site up and running in time for Heli-Expo 2016. The journey continues and we hope you will come on board and take the journey with us.
