When the holidays are over, millions of pupils in the UK need to get ready for the new term, before heading back to school. This year Richter offers a new fashionable collection of “Back to School” shoes.
Alf Netek, General Manager of Ferdinand Richter GmbH, and Carl Robinson, head trade agent UK & Ireland, talk about the importance of the right shoes for school.
General Manager of Ferdinand Richter, Alf Netek
The Richter “Back to School” collection offers a great selection of footwear for kids, but what makes a Richter shoe the best choice for school? The top priority is fitting, says Carl Robinson. The right fit is essential for the healthy development of children’s feet and also prevents foot malposition. Function is another crucial aspect, therefore the “Back to School” collection is made to fit the purpose of every day hard wear. And of course, the kids must like them - so they need to be fashionable and at the same time fulfil school requirements. The shoes have a classic look, leather materials were used and to make it more fun they have colourful insoles - perfect for the first day of school. And to make things even more fun, kids receive a teddy bear key chain with every pair of Richter shoes.
Richter Shoes have remodelled and enhanced their “Back to School” collection for boys and girls. What has changed, Mr. Netek? We have reinvented the entire collection: From the high quality materials used, to the enhanced design. Several measures were taken to improve the fitting and guarantee a better stability of the foot. These improvements have made the “Back to School” collection more durable and long-lasting. We adapted the collection to closely fit the consumer’s needs and therefore concentrated on the core products.
Head trade agent UK & Ireland Carl Robinson
Richter is an Austrian brand, but has been successful in the UK market for the past 25 years. Mr. Robinson, what would you say is so unique about Richter shoes? Richter is exceptional in the consistency of their fitting and function. The brand’s styling kept us ahead of some of our close competitors and always offer good value. Also the service is consistent, for instance when delivering school shoes on time in June. Since entering the UK, Richter has always designed shoes specific to our market’s needs. This has led to a wide distribution throughout the UK.
Mr. Netek, what would you say makes a children’s shoe, a Richter shoe? Passion in every detail. Because Richter Shoes take responsibility for healthy children’s feet, we make no compromises when it comes to the choice of materials, design and quality. We aim for the perfect fitting, long-lasting quality and a fashionable style, always following our Richter philosophy: Fashion - Function - Fun.
