Ricoh acquires DTG printing specialist AnaJet L


leader in direct to garment printing. This acquisition is the latest strategic


investment by Ricoh to strengthen its industrial inkjet business while enabling its customers to move forward with new ideas and drive imaginative thinking. Founded in 2006, AnaJet was one of the


first companies in the world to mass produce DTG printers.

leader in the DTG industry. The majority of AnaJet products available today leverage Ricoh's market-leading inkjet printheads. Ricoh's experience has focused on office


and commercial print technologies. By acquiring AnaJet, Ricoh will be able to further its position in the industrial inkjet market. With AnaJet's solutions combined with the broad Ricoh portfolio, customers will now have the ability to more effectively deliver a broader solution set to their end users. BMB builds sportswear offering through acquisition


B


lue Max Banner (BMB) has made its first acquisition since the


management buyout took place six months ago. The acquisition, completed


on January 5, is Orion Teamwear, a high performance, bespoke sportswear business. BMB already has an


established relationship with Orion, as it offers a stock-supported range of professional sportswear garments through its brochure. This acquisition will enable


BMB to offer an exciting new sportswear option in the form of Teamwear Kit Design, in either cut and sewn or sublimated products. Nigel Plenderleith, BMB’s chief executive, said: “Orion

is a well-established brand not just in the schoolwear market but at a professional level too and comes with a strong customer base. Being able to offer sublimation, teamwear and stock supported product gives Blue Max Banner the ability to compete with the sportswear specialists. Exciting new product developments will be added to the stock-supported range and the colour options will be increased. “Our focus will be to keep


the creativity associated with the Orion brand and to add our excellent service and delivery capabilities in Trowbridge to bring delivery times and customer service levels to those we currently achieve across the rest of our business.”
