GALLERY EXPOSÉ
Asencio. Based on this long-term relationship, Jim decided to turn over his legacy gallery and have Exclusive Collections operate it.
“It is a great honor to have a mentor and friend ask me to continue his art legacy in Colorado,” Ruth-Ann said. “Jim is a legend within the art world, truly one of the great art dealers of our time.”
Tylich opened his first gallery, Vail Fine Art Gallery in 1989, drawn to the clientele in the area with whom he found a shared taste in art and culture.
Throughout the years, he opened galleries in Aspen, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek, Taos, and Santa Fe. As an aficionado and scholar, he has published several comprehensive books on multiple Russian Master Painters and is also credited with bringing a series of highly successful performances by the Russian ballet to the Vail Valley.
Closing the Breckenridge gallery is bittersweet and brings a sense of nostalgia, Tylich said, but it will now afford him new opportunities. At 70, Tylich claims it is time to slow down, but reassures that he will still keep doing what he loves.
Exclusive Collections is honored to be a part of the community in Breckenridge, Colorado. Gallery director Shawna Huffsmith has been leading this gallery for the past 15 years and is excited to work with many new artists!
Although the gallery re-opened its doors in July after a major renovation, the official grand opening will be held December 11th and will continue through December 12th and 13th, 2015.
Call the gallery for more information and to RSVP.
