COMPACT handheld enclosures Desk stations and wall holders are now available for OKW’s tough new range of DATEC-COMPACT handheld electronic enclosures for outdoor use.
OKW created the DATEC-COMPACT range to meet growing demand for mobile applications in harsh environments: data recording and transfer, measuring and control, stock and sales logging.
The new desk stations and wall mounted brackets enable fast and easy charging and data transfer. DATEC- COMPACT is OKW’s first range to feature integrated contacts as standard – providing an elegant all-in solution.
The two-part enclosures are rated to IP 65 and are assembled with tamper-proof Torx T10 screws. They have been designed specifically for operation with gloved hands for cold climates or for industrial workplaces where protective clothing is required.
DATEC-COMPACT desk stations feature gold-plated charging contacts. Like the enclosures, they are moulded from UV-stable ASA+PC-FR (UL 94 V-0) to cope with prolonged exposure to sunlight. They are supplied with rubber feet and an assembly kit.
Desk stations and wall holders are available for all three sizes of DATEC-COMPACT enclosures: S 136 x 74 x 32 mm, M 172 x 92 x 39 mm and L 206 x 110 x 47 mm.

E-Paper displays no longer just for E-Readers
Craft Data are pleased to introduce their latest 1.54”, 200x200 resolution E-Paper display, GDP015WG1. The display is a TFT active matrix Electrophoretic panel and includes an integrated COG circuit containing the necessary drivers, SPI interface, memory and voltage regulators to enable engineers to easily design this type of display into their OEM product. The display is a purely reflective panel and offers a superb performance in both indoor and outdoor lighting environments due to its high reflectance. E-Paper also boasts an ultra-wide viewing angle of 180° making the panel suitable for both landscape and portrait viewing options. One of the major benefits of an E-Paper display is the ultra-low power consumption, the typical value when the display is being updated is 26mW (8mA) however in standby mode this drops to 0.016mW (5µA) with the screen image still retained. The overall module size is 31.8(H)x37.32(V)x1.05(D)mm with an active area of 27.6(H)x27.6(H)mm and weighs just 4g.

Pickering announce new High Voltage
Micro-SIL Reed Relays The new Series 119 range is the industry’s smallest high voltage Single-In-Line Reed Relay, for up to 3kV stand-off. They are an ideal choice for Cable and Backplane Testers or Mixed Signal ATE.
The vacuumed sputtered ruthenium switches have superb low-level performance, which also makes them a suitable choice where a wide range of signals are involved.
Four versions are available, all with either 3, 5 or 12 volt operating coils. The 1 Form A, 1kV version has 4 pins on 0.15 inches (3.8mm) pitch, these can be stacked side-by-side for maximum packing density (all Pickering Relays have full magnetic screening allowing side by side operation).
Today, Pickering’s SIL range is by far the most developed in the relay industry with relays 25% the size of many other relay manufacturers. Pickering’s relays are available in Surface Mount, Single-in-Line (SIL), Dual-in-Line (DIL) and many other popular package styles.

With the eDM-pITX-BT DATA MODUL presents a new Pico-ITX Board based on Intel®
Atom™ processors
(formerly codenamed “Bay Trail”). This innovative computer board is developed according to DATA
MODUL’s specification in cooperation with a long-term partner, a leading manufacturer of industrial computers.
The fanless eDM-pITX-BT Board is equipped with up to 4GB DDR3L RAM. Heat sources like CPU and RAM are located at the rear side of the PCB. As cooling solution is either a “Heat Spreader” or a “Heat Sink” with a height of only 15mm available. With the heat spreader the board can be directly adapted to a housing. The flat cooling solutions are possible because of the new low- power Intel processors, that are already based on a
22nm production process. The integrated graphics are significantly more powerful than the previous Atom™ models and support DirectX 11, OpenGL 3, OpenCL 1.2 and high-performance, flexible hardware decoding to decode even multiple high-resolution full HD videos at the same time. Up to 2560 x 1600 pixels with DisplayPort are natively supported in the processor. It is also possible to connect up to two independent display interfaces via 2x 24-bit LVDS.

Rapid assembly for secure distribution Four PDU systems for professional power distribution
in IT racks, which will halve the time a system takes to assemble compared to screw in PDUs, have been introduced by Rittal. The systems employ snap-in technology so not only is it very quick and easy to assemble, there is also no need for tools. Up to four PDUs can be mounted in the zero-U-space, so no height units for servers are wasted.
Options include the PDU basic, the PDU metered, the PDU switched and the PDU managed. The PDU basic provides a robust and compact basis power distribution for the IT environment. The insert strip is easily connected and is immediately functional. To allow performance data on an entire IT rack can be
cost-effectively monitored, the PDU metered features an internal web interface and an ethernet port. The PDU switched builds on this functionality, allowing the user to turn individual output slots on and off via the web interface. Finally, the PDU managed version takes this one step further. It has been developed specifically for use in high-end IT racks and offers power distribution with power measuring andmonitoring functions for each individual output slot.
All of the PDUs feature the standard international data centre CEE connectors with a three-metre long connection cable and C13 and C19 slots. A country-specific variant is also available for the UK market.
The systems are available in single-phase or three-phase versions; phase currents of 16A and 32A can be supported, depending on the type of PDU, which means electrical outputs of over 22kW can be distributed by one rack PDU.
