Callaway introduces Mack Daddy 3 Milled Wedges C

allaway has announced the launch of its new Mack Daddy 3 Milled Wedges offering grinds and groove packages for every condition, every swing and every golf shot.

Craſted and shaped by Callaway’s Master Wedge Designer, Roger

Cleveland, the new MD3 Milled Wedges offer a choice of three different grinds (S-Grind, W-Grind and C-Grind) and a Progressive Groove Optimisation system which employs three different groove patterns to increase spin as loſt increases, setting a new benchmark in versatility and performance. Available in either Satin Chrome or a new Matte Black finish, all MD3

Wedges have been engineered with milled Mack Daddy grooves and laser micro grooves for the ultimate in control. Commenting on the new wedges, Roger Cleveland said: “By increasing

each groove’s wall angle and therefore the aggressiveness, as you move higher in loſt we can now give players better control and the ability to stop the golf balls more efficiently. “Typically, a player will create their most spin with around a 50° wedge

and their spin will then drop off as they go higher in loſt. However, thanks to Progressive Groove Optimisation, our MD3 Wedges generate greater spin as the loſt increases, giving maximum control when and where the golfer needs it.” Three unique sole grinds are offered to match perfectly to swing styles

and typical conditions a golfer may encounter: Normal conditions: The S-Grind is our most versatile, all-purpose grind

and shows its utility across a variety of conditions and swing types. Soſt conditions: The W-Grind has a slightly wider sole and is perfect for the

golfer playing in slightly soſter conditions or who has the tendency to come in steep with their swing. Great out of the sand, the W-Grind suits a variety of swings from more steep to more sweep, creating a moderate divot pattern. Firm conditions: The C-Grind is designed for firmer conditions and

versatility around the greens. The heel and toe relief of this grind allows for a number of shots, especially opening up the face and keeping the leading edge low.

On Course foundation celebrates 5th anniversary O

n Course Foundation, the charity that helps transform the lives of wounded, injured and sick Service personnel

through golf, celebrated its 5th anniversary against the beautiful backdrop of the Royal Household Golf Club and Windsor Castle. Gathered together to mark the occasion were some of the charities most dedicated supporters along with some of the 450 men and women who have been helped through the Foundation. Guests and members enjoyed a 9 Hole Texas Scramble on this most exclusive of courses, use of which was kindly provided by On Course Foundation’s patron H.R.H The Duke of York. Also in attendance were members of the R.A.F. Aerobatic team, the Red Arrows, one of the latest high profile organisations to throw the weight of its support behind the charity. Founder and President, John Simpson

commented on the significance of the day: “I am genuinely honoured to have helped so many of our beneficiaries recovery with the power of golf. From those with physical injuries to those suffering mental health illnesses, to those injured in the last year to those injured thirty years ago; I am so humbled by their strength, courage and determination. To know that alongside such a great team we have been able to provide a real path to recovery, and more than that, help these inspiring individuals find meaningful roles in the industry, means more than I can ever attempt to articulate. “I know we have so many more to help, but we can get there which such

incredible support from our beneficiaries and supporters.” Jason Evans, a beneficiary of the Foundation reinforced those words as

he received an award for Outstanding Contribution at the anniversary event: “Honestly, I love being able to help the Foundation spread the word about recovery through golf. John and his team are incredible with what they do, taking injured guys and girls who lack confidence or miss the camaraderie, and introduce them to a great sport that without question brings back that self-belief. As an Ambassador, I’m so proud, so very proud to champion the cause.”
