Sally Scott Rejoins Commercial Lines
Sally Scott returned to Arbella Commercial Lines in January as a Commercial Lines system project leader. An Arbella veteran, Sally has been with the company for more than 20 years. She first joined Arbella as a Commercial Lines Operations manager, and then took on the role of Business Systems Development manager in
Information Technology, which she held for more than 10 years. During that time, Sally managed and oversaw the business analyst team responsible for business requirements, user acceptance, and model office for Commercial Lines efforts.
In her new role, Sally acts as the liaison between Commercial Lines and IT—the primary resource responsible for leading Commercial Lines’ migration of its book of business to our new system. Her key responsibilities include leading the documentation and testing of Commercial Lines systems and the systems they impact in Marketing, Claims, and Actuarial.
Sally is thrilled to return to the Commercial Lines team. “It’s like coming home,” she says. “I have close relationships with so many people in Commercial Lines Operations and Underwriting, so the fit is perfect.” Congratulations, Sally!
Joe Campbell’s Return
When senior Commercial Lines underwriter Stephanie Hagan started planning her maternity leave, she worried about who would take on her responsibilities while she was gone. Stephanie maintains and modifies a large renewal book of commercial accounts and helps grow profitable new books of business.
Joe Campbell, senior Commercial Lines underwriter at Arbella for nine years, had retired in May of 2013. Since then, Joe has kept in touch with many of his Arbella colleagues, and when he heard about the need to find coverage for Stephanie, he
jumped at the chance to return. Joe successfully maintained Stephanie’s renewal book and agency relationships for four months. “It was a great opportunity to come back, see old friends, and return to a job I love,” Joe says. “It was an easy transition—I was familiar with most of the accounts because I had handled them prior to retiring.”
Stephanie was grateful for Joe’s hard work. “Not only did he make it easy for me to come back, but he also made the transition seamless for our agents. We received excellent feedback from our agents while he was here, and even after he left. Joe continues to be a tremendous asset to Commercial Lines even in retire- ment.” Thank you, Joe!
