Commercial Lines is thrilled to welcome Bob Bellenoit to our team. On January 1, Bob joined us in the newly created role of business development underwriter. His transition to Commercial Lines is the result of feedback we heard through our Agent Advisory Council, who saw the significant value of a trusted underwriting presence in agency offices.


In his new role, Bob is working with selected agencies to develop and prequalify new business opportunities. With an exclusive focus on middle-market submissions, Bob reviews opportunities in person with agency staff, screens risks for market appetite, provides field inspections, and performs other activities that facilitate the process of writing new business with Arbella.


Eileen Currie, senior vice president of Commercial Lines, believes that Bob’s new role will be tremendously beneficial to our agents. “Bob’s focus is on developing the more complicated accounts that meet Arbella’s appetite, through underwriting analysis and overall negotiation. So far we have been able to close several accounts because Bob was able to go out and inspect the risks, and confirm that we could write them. Our agents are already telling us that he’s a valued asset in their offices.”
