A

from Milwaukee (Wis.) Curling Club have teamed up to make their first year on the Circuit one to remember. Tey followed a First Event runner-up finish in the Kettle Moraine Fall Fling with wins at the Milwaukee Women’s and Chi- cago Gloamin’ Gaels’, to take a commanding lead in the points standings. Even said that she joined the Circuit “aſter a bit

of arm-twisting from Kristin.” She had not previ- ously given the Circuit much thought since she hadn’t been planning to play in many women’s events. However, “this season we won our way into our own club women’s bonspiel, giving us an extra Circuit opportunity,” Even said. Teir initial Circuit successes led to other women’s bonspiels. “We decided when we signed up to do the Fall

Fling that we should consider the Circuit since we were already signed up to be in the Milwau- kee Ladies Kiltie—which in turn snowballed us to sign up for Chicago,” Smith said. Tey are also

year, across all regions, there are more oppor- tunities than ever to win money and prizes. As Smith said, “I would do it again! I enjoy the bon- spiel atmosphere and the Circuit gets me more excited to sign up. I believe it also helps bonspiels get new teams, as we did spiels this year that we hadn’t done before. I hope the Circuit continues and grows. We are having a great time!”n

Two more events added to Circuit schedule

Te Circuit organizers are thrilled to wel-

come two more Wisconsin bonspiels this winter. Appleton Curling Club hosted their second annual women’s Winter Wonderland bonspiel in mid-January, won by Circuit member Debbie Lange’s Chicago Curling Club rink. Te Green Bay Curling Club’s re- nowned Shamrock women’s invitational will join the Circuit for the first time March 13- 15. Welcome, and good curling!
