The men’s volleyball team celebrated its NCAA title at a Cubs game in September. Members of the team led fans in singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” during the 7th-inning stretch, and Head Coach Shane Davis threw the first pitch.

In May, the Loyola men’s volleyball team claimed its first-ever NCAA championship in front of a partisan crowd of 4,485 at Gentile Arena, beating Stanford 3-1. The victory closed out a special season that saw the Ramblers finish with a 29-1 record. Junior Cody Caldwell, named Most Outstanding Player, posted 20 kills and 10 digs to lead the Ramblers to the title. The win marks Loyola’s second overall NCAA title, after the men’s basketball title in 1963.
