Aavid Thermalloy Acquires Allcast Aavid T ermalloy, Laconia, N.H.,


has acquired Allcast LLC, Allenton, Wis. Allcast designs, manufac- tures and distributes aluminum die casting products for LED lighting, recreational vehicle, consumer and industrial applications. “Allcast is a market leader with

Mag-Tec Adds to Diecasting Capabilities

granted a 12-year tax exemption to Mag-Tec Casting Corp. A diecasting specialist, the company is purchasing more than $980,000 worth of new equipment. Mag-Tec Casting off ers aluminum, magnesium and zinc cast- ings, including CNC machining and shot blast fi nishing, and serves the au- tomotive and electronics industries. 


Cascade Advances Expansion


Cascade Die Casting Group Inc.,


Grand Rapids, Mich., plans to use a state grant to expand in Sparta and Gaines Township, Mich., according to local news outlet WZZM. It was announced that the Michigan Strategic Fund is awarding Cascade Die Casting Group Inc. a grant worth $275,000, in addition to local governmental property tax abatements. It is part of a reported $5.3 million expansion expected to cre- ate about 50 jobs. 


AFW Foundry Sold to Mumford Companies

cago, has acquired the assets of AFW Foundry Inc., Lannon, Wis. AFW is a nonferrous aluminum, brass and bronze sand casting facility started by the Gerstmeier family in 1953. It is a Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier to the marine, defense, oil & gas and off - highway industries. In March, AFW entered receivership under Wisconsin Statute Chapter 128 and has con- tinued to operate, retaining all jobs throughout the sale process. 
