Double award win for Fourfront Group at IoD Director of the Year awards

Clive Lucking, CEO of leading commercial interior specialist Fourfront Group, has won two top accolades in the prestigious IOD Director of the Year Awards - the ‘Director of the Year’ award and the Chairman’s Award for Corporate Social Responsibility for London and the South East.
The award was presented to Clive Lucking at a glittering reception, held in the prestigious surroundings of the Nash Room at the Institute of Directors in Pall Mall on Wednesday 11 June. The evening’s celebrations played host to Directors from across London and the South East, each competing for one of the eight awards presented on the night.
Fourfront Group has seen significant growth over recent years and is now the leading UK commercial interior specialist with turnover for 2013-14 projected to break £100m for the first time. The business comprises of design and fit-out company Area Sq, interior contractor Cube Interior Solutions, furniture specialist Sketch Studios and workplace design consultancy 360 Design Studios. This double award win follows previous success for the business as the ‘One to Recognise’ for the Southeast of England in The Sunday Times Profit Track 100 and its shortlisting in the ‘Rising Star of the Year’ category at Private Business Awards 2013. Fourfront Group was also ranked 58 in The Sunday Times Best 100 Small Companies to Work For 2013 and received the highest 'Three Star Accreditation Standard'.

Now in its eighth year, the awards are a public recognition of the key role that directors play in the UK’s economy, as well as in job preservation and creation. The judging criteria considers factors including the individual’s vision, objectives and industry involvement, as well as corporate social responsibility and overall company performance.
Get Living London welcomes 500th resident to former Athlete’s Village

Since handover in November 2013, east London’s newest neighbourhood, East Village E20 has begun to flourish into a thriving community. This follows Get Living London’s win at the RESI awards for ‘Property Newcomer of the Year’ and East Village’s win of ‘Development of the Year’.
Get Living London has welcomed Ian McGuinness and his partner as its 500th resident. The new arrivals to Pippin Mansions are another milestone in East Village’s transformation into a vibrant and growing community. The first residents moved to East Village in November 2013.
Ian, 41, is an Office Services Director for a health and safety company and moved into his new home from neighbouring Stratford having seen the potential of the area when he came to the Olympics in 2012. Two years on, Ian and his partner took a tour of the properties at East Village and were so taken with the local facilities, helpful staff and excellent transport connections that they paid the deposit on the day of the viewing.

Clive co-founded Fourfront Group in 2000 with two colleagues. Now, with offices in London, Egham and Colnbrook, and employing over
200 people, the company creates innovative, sustainable and inspiring commercial interiors for companies across the world. The business has also continued to expand its services with the recent launch of move and relocation management, archiving and storage solutions as well as furniture hire. Fourfront Group’s dedicated environmental team work closely with Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) championing their Ska Rating programme for sustainable commercial refurbishments – this has resulted in Fourfront Group delivering the most Ska Gold projects in the UK.
The Group give staff three paid days a year to volunteer at conservation projects which have included re-establishing an ancient wood with the National Trust and planting a school apple orchard and hedge laying for The Forestry Commission as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility programme. They also invest in their people with flagship workplaces and staff have extensive induction and training programmes and take part in many charity and community events. Fourfront Group has supported Shooting Star CHASE children hospices for five years, and has raised over £150,000. Last weekend (7 June) 92 of the Group’s staff and friends abseiled down Broadgate Tower, one of London’s tallest buildings, for the charity.
