Brayborne announces expansion of its contract cleaning business into Facilities Services

Brayborne, one of the leading contract cleaning companies, has announced that it is expanding its business into Facilities Services to meet the demand from customers for a broader range of services from one trusted source.


Brayborne has over 1,000 employed staff operating on daily and specialist cleaning contracts across southern England in offices, shopping centres and schools. With nearly 30 years’ experience in delivering a reliable and consistent service, Brayborne have a well- established infrastructure across the south of England and highly experienced managers and staff. Established as Brayborne Cleaning Services, the company is re-branding to Brayborne Facilities Services to reflect the new focus of their business.

Tork SmartOne® solves washroom blockage problems SCA

Anumber of hospitals, leisure parks, catering outlets and retail stories have been switching to the Tork SmartOne® system to help prevent expensive toilet blockages.


Laboratory tests have shown Tork SmartOne® to break down extremely efficiently in water. And when coupled with its consumption control benefits, the Tork SmartOne® system becomes a highly cost-effective solution for away-from-home washrooms.


“Toilet tissue often spends only a matter of seconds in the flush system, so the biggest blockage-causing factor is how much tissue is actually being flushed away and the water volume of the flush,” said SCA Product and Segment Manager Stephen Wright.


“Flush systems are primarily transporting the toilet tissue rather than actually breaking it down. Therefore the single-sheet dispensing feature of the Tork SmartOne® system is a major factor in helping to reduce blockages.”


Aleading leisure park that receives thousands of visitors per day recently switched from mini jumbo dispensers to the Tork SmartOne® Toilet Tissue system. The park had previously had issues with blockages, and these were leading to closed toilets and costly call-outs.


“The problem was that too much tissue was entering the drainage system,” said Stephen. “When the park trialled the Tork SmartOne® system they saw a reduction both in the amount of product used and in blockage issues.” The park has since ordered more than 200 Tork SmartOne® dispensers.


Also making the switch from mini jumbo rolls to the Tork SmartOne® system is a London coffee shop and bakery which has also experienced fewer blockages and lower toilet consumption as a result.


Meanwhile, two other facilities – one a multi-site casino and the second an NHS hospital – have reported fewer blockage problems


after switching to the Tork SmartOne® system from full-sized jumbo toilet rolls. And a department store that used one-ply bulk- pack toilet tissue and had ongoing problems with blocked toilets claims this situation has been dramatically improved since changing to the Tork SmartOne® Mini system.
