METALCASTING SUPPLIES Mixer/Pump Increases Speed, Torque and Efficiency

Te upgraded MX-10 Mixer/Pump from Blastcrete Equipment Company, An- niston, Ala., features a new, closed-loop hydraulic circuit that delivers increased speed and torque when mixing dense refractory materials. Te new system pro- vides greater efficiency that leads to faster and greater ROI on demanding refractory wet shotcrete and pump cast applications

in metalcasting facilities. Te MX-10’s hopper can handle as much as 2,500 lbs. of material, and its high-speed hydraulic agitator keeps materials blended and in

suspension as the material flows to the pump. Visit www.blastcrete.com for more information.

Hoists Operate Quietly, Efficiently

Te Profi TI hoist range from J D Neuhaus has been upgrad- ed to offer quieter operation, faster lifting/lowering speeds and increased energy efficiency. Tese robust low-headroom prod- ucts have a 100% duty rating within a wide range of industrial environments, including applications in metalcasting facilities. Te Profi TI range operates from either a four- or six-bar air supply with ideal hoists in 3-50 metric ton lift capacity range. For extreme heavy lifting, hoists are also available with lift

capacities up to 100 metric tons. Visit www.jdneuhaus.com for more information.

New UV Inspection Light for Non-Destructive Testing

Maxxeon Inc., Cleveland, has designed a new ultraviolet (UV) inspection light for non-destructive testing (NDT). Te WorkStar 2003 is a cordless, portable tool for fluorescent magnetic particle and penetrant NDT. It has been designed for use by manufacturing, main- tenance and quality control technicians in metalcasting and other major manufacturing industries. Te WorkStar 2003 integrates a new UV inspection light with the Maxxeon’s WorkStar 2000. Te new advanced UV LED light features a moveable head, a retract- able hook, tripod mount capability and

exceeds ASTM E2297 requirements. Visit www.maxxeon.com for more information.
