HeelSafe™ DVT Hose. Designed to aid and prevent deep vein thrombosis in the recumbent patient with limited mobility. Progressive compression from foot to knee aids in improving venous return and avoiding clot formation. The open heel design helps to prevent pressure ulcers on the heel caused by the additional 15-18 mm of Hg pressure on the heel by compres- sion stockings. The DVT Hose allow for easy visualization and palpation of the heel at all times. Length measurements; Knee - floor to just below knee crease. Thigh - floor to fullest part of thigh. Ankle cir- cumference is around the smallest part of the ankle. Calf circumference is taken at the fullest part of the calf. Thigh circumference is taken for thigh highs only and taken around the fullest part of thigh.
