AAE 2014 Beijing bound P
Taking place in Beijing, next month’s Asian Attractions Expo (AAE) promises the largest show floor in the event’s history, plus a full programme of conference sessions and tours to popular local attractions

More than 5,000 attractions industry professionals, including buyers from over 60 countries, are expected at this year’s event, which will feature more than 8,000 net square metres of exhibit space. But AAE, staged last year in Singapore, is always a more international affair, attracting visitors and exhibitors from across Asia-Pacific and beyond.

Delivering Thursday morning’s Leadership Breakfast will be Bill Ernest, president and managing director of Asia for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, discussing the company’s operations in Tokyo, Hong Kong and of course its massive upcoming development in Shanghai.
Starting ahead of the main Expo, on Tuesday 15 June will be the two-and-a-half day IAAPA Institute for Attractions Managers, pitched at managers with at least three years’ industry experience. Meanwhile the IAAPA Safety Institute takes place on 17 June. Networking events include the Opening Night
Reception (Wednesday 18 June) and Young Professionals Forum (Thursday). Official AAE tours will be offered to the Forbidden City (Tuesday), Happy Valley Beijing (Friday) and a post-Expo visit to the Great Wall of China at Badaling (Saturday).
