In March, Chicago-area alumni, parents, and friends gathered at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance at Millennium Park to attend a performance by
Thodos Dance Chicago. The performance, produced and choreographed by Melissa Thodos ’84, featured A Light in the Dark, a one-act ballet about Helen Keller and Anne Sullivan, along with two other works. After the show, attendees mingled and met the dancers at a champagne and wine reception. “We had a wonderful afternoon,” says Diane Hutchinson Reilly ’84. “The performance was fantastic, and we had a great turnout of Skidmore parents, friends, students, and alums!” Megan McElwain ’02 enjoyed the “great modern dance,” the venue, and the reception, calling the event “a great deal.”—PD
