Adelle Desouza Marketing Specialist, Colt Technology

QBiggest influence?

A My parents, helped me to understand that challenging the status quo for the right reasons helps to keep the mind active and the heart engaged.

QMost valuable lesson learnt?

A Choose your battles. Microsoft may have won the operating system battle but they certainly didn’t win the war.

QOne company to watch (other than your own)?

A Lady Geek, leading the charge for removing stereotypes in STEM related

subjects. QGoing out or staying in?

A Going out- the world is not a small place however you feel about globalisation.

QA book, a movie or the TV?

A A book- it’s a tool of escapism, drives creativity and reminds me how powerful words can be.

QDog or cat? A Dog; Not sure I trust the loyalty of cats. QPet hates?

A Liars. There is never the need and never a good ending.

QWhere does the time machine take you and why?

A The end of the British industrial revolution. To see the passion that

drives change, to be part of a society that will fight for what they want and to truly understand how when everyone does their bit directions can be changed.

QIf you weren’t in Marketing, what would you like to be in?

A Teaching, advocating the world doesn’t come to an end if you decide to do

things a little differently from your friends.

QIn charge for the day, what world problem would you address?

A Inequality in education. It is the only platform one can leverage to change

their life in the way they wish to.

QGuess who’s coming to dinner – your five guests, (real or fictional characters)?

A Dynamo

Michael Mcintyre David Attenborough Sheryl Sandberg Dumbledore

QSport - spectator or participator?

A Participator, get stuck in and give it a go…what is the worst that can happen?

QWhat’s the point of IT?

A To connect the unconnected. Whether that be ideas, global education, cultures, technological advancements not to mention family and friends.

QWhen it comes to energy resources (for data centres/IT) is the glass half-empty

or half-full?

A Half-Full; the change is full steam ahead, but there is still a long way to

go. Safe to say some of it relates to mind set rather than technological advancements. You can provide the industry with the greatest technology if the mind set is not right it doesn’t matter in the slightest. We have to be welcoming to change.

QBring Your Own Device or Bring Your Own Disaster (waiting to happen at

some point in the future)?

A Bring your own device. People know their comfort zones. Their devices in

the modern day are extensions to their limbs seems strange to confine for standardisation.
