ELW in Braille Evangelical Lutheran Worship will be available on Braille-embossed pages sometime after July 1. At presstime Augsburg Fortress, Publishers was holding the print run until a mini- mum of 20 copies had been ordered by ELCA congregations. The Braille ELW contains the complete texts for all 743 service music items and hymns from the pew edition and costs $375. For ease of use, the edi- tion is printed on sturdy paper and packaged in eight or nine three-ring binders, with page breaks between the hymns. Worship, prayer help Frequent worship attendance and a strong prayer life can help young women with eating disorders over- come feelings of worthlessness and hopelessness, according to a study in the Journal of Religion and Health of nearly 2,500 women aged 18 to 26. Faith communities that communicate messages such as “God made me and doesn’t make anything bad” can mod- erate the “body loathing” promoted by popular culture, said lead researcher Andrea Henderson of the University of South Carolina, Columbia. She and Christopher Ellison of the University of Texas, San Antonio, used data from the 2001-02 National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health.
