2013 was an extremely busy year and 2014 is already shaping up to be another one as Machines Italia takes “Turning innovation into productivity” on the road to major North American events.
I
f you make the purchasing decisions for your company, you have an enormous responsibility. You must know the ins and outs of production in a way no one else does. It’s your job to fi nd ma- chines and systems solutions that are functional, reliable and durable, with readily available service and spare parts. In short, much of your company’s success depends on your purchasing choices. Italian machinery can make your decisions easier. That’s why Machines Italia, together with its
partner associations, is proud to be a featured participant and sponsor of major industry events. Over the course of 2014, Machines Italia will appear at the events listed in the box at right.
Manufacturing Canada 2014 Machines Italia’s Manufacturing Canada 2014
conference will take place on May 8 at the Missis- sauga Convention Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. Over 100 executive-level manufacturers are ex- pected to attend the day-long event, which will fo- cus on strategies, technology and policies aimed at making domestic manufacturing more competitive. Editors from a range of our manufacturing and supply chain magazines will be attending to cover the event. The event will also be streamed online. Among the confi rmed notable speakers are: Hon. Eric Hoskins (Ontario Minister of Econom- ic Development, Trade and Employment), and Jayson Myers (President & CEO of Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters). Other speakers will include Italian and Canadian companies and manufacturing industry experts. Machines Italia looks to be a friend to local manufacturers, not a competitor. Thus, the cam- paign highlights successful relationships between local manufacturers—who, thanks to solutions provided by Italian manufacturers—are able to become more competitive and innovative within the global marketplace. The campaign is now in its 12th year in Canada.
Trade “Mission of System” in Mexico As its economic development is closely linked to
the positive economic trends currently experienced in the United States, Mexico has thus witnessed a strong infl ux of economic activity while emerging as
a strategic partner to serve both the North Ameri- can and Central American markets. This activity is refl ected in the increased orders by Mexican manu- facturers of “Made in Italy” technology. Therefore, Italian governmental bodies as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economic Development, Italian Trade Agency (ITA) and Con- fi ndustria recently conducted a trade mission in Mexico City, March 31-April 2, 2014. The mission included the participation of Italian fi rms belong- ing to the automotive, green technologies and oil & gas sectors. The ITA’s Machines Italia project provided sup- port in the mission’s objectives of strengthening bilateral economic relations and investigated ma- jor investment opportunities for Italian companies and conducted industry sector specifi c workshops within various Mexican industries.
Interregional-Intermechanical 2014-2015
In 2014–15, the ITA Mexico City Offi ce, in collaboration with the Italian Regions of Emilia Romagna, Veneto and Piedmont, will launch a number of promotional
initiatives throughout
Mexico to increase awareness of Italy’s competi- tive advantages as a solution provider. Machines Italia will also continue with other ini- tiatives to promote Italian capital goods within the Mexican market, further highlighting Italian innova- tion in research and development in industries such as automotive, plastics, packaging and agricultural. At any event in the NAFTA marketplace, visi- tors to Machines Italia booths will have access to information on the world’s most skilled engi- neers, designers and manufacturers who have been inventing or retooling productivity enhanc- ing systems for decades. Representatives will be available to respond to your needs or point you towards appropriate histories,
industry white
materials, including case papers,
news and
testimonials on how Italian solution providers are keeping North American manufacturers both productive and competitive. Machines Italia frequently adds additional events
and conferences to its roster. For a complete, up-to- date list of events, visit
