Analysis, test and measurement BeamEx1000 interferometer Integra series of detectors

Gentec Electro-Optics has launched its meterless Integra series, a new line of all-in- one detectors that combine a detector and a meter in one product. The meter presents a direct USB connection so it can be plugged into a PC. The PC-Gentec-EO software supplied with the product allows power measurements to be taken within seconds. Each detector of the Integra series offers the same performance as the usual detector and meter combination, from picowatt to kilowatt and from femtojoule to joule. Since the electronics are miniaturised and integrated within the USB head, the detectors are adapted for embedded laboratory applications. They are also used for field service technicians that will take advantage of the integrated monitor, thus carrying fewer instruments. www.gentec-eo.com

AccuFiz 6MP laser interferometer

4D Technology, a manufacturer of optical metrology systems, has introduced the AccuFiz six-megapixel laser interferometer, for measuring steep slopes, aspheric surfaces and small diameter optics.

Its 2,400 x 2,400 pixel sensor doubles the measurable spatial frequency range and quadruples the sampling capability of standard interferometers. www.4dtechnology.com

Software Improved rendering in TracePro

Lambda Research, a designer and publisher of illumination and optical design software, has introduced improved photorealistic rendering with the latest release of its flagship product, TracePro.

The photorealistic rendering capability uses photon mapping to render scenes, sources,

lightpipes, and instrument panels. Users can render high-fidelity photorealistic images showing the lit appearance of optical and illumination systems, and their affected surroundings. With 10 times faster processing, TracePro’s photorealistic rendering capability uses a two- pass algorithm that simulates light from user- defined sources and ambient light settings to

produce a rendered scene. After the rendering is completed, the user can control the contrast and brightness as needed. TracePro is an award-winning opto-mechanical

software that can be used for design, analysis, and optimisation of optical and illumination systems. www.lambdares.com

Tower Optical has launched the BeamEx1000, a four- to six-inch interferometer beam expander. This product enables measurement over a full six-inch aperture using an industry-standard four-inch interferometer. The BeamEx1000 snaps onto a four-inch mainframe interferometer and accommodates an industry-standard six-inch reference optic. The company also offers a six-inch reference transmission flat, TX-6, compatible with the BeamEx1000 beam expander and other six-inch interferometer mounts. The four-inch Fizeau interferometer with

bayonet mount has become an industry standard. Several companies offer versions; all have mutually compatible bayonet-mount interfaces for reference optics. Tower’s beam expander coupled with a six-inch reference

Beam profiling and power meters

Ophir Photonics has introduced the newest versions of its BeamGage, BeamTrack and BeamWatch products.BeamGage 6.1 is a beam- profiling system that performs data acquisition and analysis of laser beam parameters, such as beam size, shape, uniformity, divergence, mode content, and expected power distribution. The new version features a major upgrade of the computation engine to improve cycle time, responsiveness of the user interface, and enhance the ability to work with apertures and partitions.

transmission flat more than doubles the available test area in second. The internal optics of the BeamEx1000 expand and re-collimate the beam to six-inch diameter. www.toweroptical.com

BeamGage is based on the company’s UltraCal baseline correction algorithm that helped establish the ISO 11146-3 standard for beam measurement accuracy. BeamGage supports auto-setup and auto-exposure for fast set-up and optimised accuracy. Ophir has also released the newest member of its BeamTrack family, the 1000W-BB-34-Quad. BeamTrack is a series of compact, multi-function thermal detectors that measure laser power, energy, beam position, and in some models beam size, in one device. www.ophiropt.com
