With the addition of auto throttle system, Eclipse 550 pilots will be able to select the appropriate airspeed for the autopilot to maintain and the autopilot will automatically adjust the engine’s power settings in various phases of flight. maximum braking energy and skid control. The new ASB system will include a brake control valve installed in each wheel well, two axle-mounted wheel speed sensors, a logic control board and a software update to the Avio Processing Center. JET AVIATION SINGAPORE COLLABORATES WITH AIR TRANSPORT TRAINING COLLEGE TO HELP DEVELOP POOL OF SKILLED LOCAL TALENT


Jet Aviation Singapore announced a strategic alliance with Air Transport Training College (ATTC) at Seletar Aerospace Park in October 2013 to jointly offer a Licensed Aircraft Engineer Training Program for Business Aviation. To further facilitate practical training options through the college, the company recently transferred ownership of a Falcon 20 aircraft to the ATTC. Jet Aviation Singapore and the ATTC began offering a joint Licensed Aircraft Engineer Training Program for business aviation to develop a competitive pool of local licensed aircraft engineers and related professionals for the business aviation network at Seletar Aerospace Park. Under the agreement, Jet Aviation is to provide required on-the- job training opportunities to students enrolled in the SAR 66 Cat B1.1 course offered at the ATTC. Jet Aviation Singapore acquired a Falcon 20 aircraft through an auction last year and, in the spirit of its

cooperation with the ATTC, recently transferred the aircraft to the college to help students develop technical know-how with minimal risk.


“Practical training is an essential component of aviation


engineering through which students are offered aircraft training platforms in a safe environment to apply and practice their theoretical training,” says Liu Wing Tim, managing director at ATTC. “This Falcon 20 aircraft is a significant contribution towards our continual improvement efforts to offer high quality training. It represents a real win- win outcome for all involved.” In a recent interview with Singapore-based AeroCareer Guide (2014/2015), Mohammed Fadhil Bin Ahmad Faizal, a pioneer Trainee Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at Jet Aviation Singapore who completed the Foundation Degree in Aircraft Engineering with the ATTC last fall, emphasizes the importance of acquiring as much supervised practical experience as possible. Currently benefitting from on-the- job training under the joint Licensed Aircraft Engineer program, Fadhil has already gained hands-on experience with Gulfstream G300, G400 and G450 aircraft types under Jet Aviation Singapore’s mentorship. “With our new hangar facility at Seletar Aerospace Park


nearing completion, we have a vested interest in developing a highly skilled pool of local talent to support our business aviation customers in the region,” says Gary Dolski, vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation Singapore. “We are committed to the highest business aviation standards, which we are best able to ensure by selecting, training and retraining qualified engineers. JET AVIATION HONG KONG RECEIVES EASA APPROVAL FOR THE GULFSTREAM G450


Jet Aviation Hong Kong recently received approval from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to provide line and base maintenance to Gulfstream G450 aircraft. Jet Aviation Hong Kong is a Gulfstream Factory


Authorized Warranty Service Center for G450/G550/G650 aircraft. The company has recently been awarded EASA approval to support Gulfstream G450 aircraft with line and base maintenance. “The safety and security of our customers is our top


priority,” says Nigel Parker, managing director at the Jet Aviation Hong Kong maintenance facility. “As the only maintenance facility for business jets in Hong Kong with registered EASA #145.0461 approval, this additional authorization attests to the quality of our workmanship and underscores our commitment to the highest quality standards.” Jet Aviation also has a 24/7 aircraft management and


charter operation in Hong Kong, and currently has 27 aircraft in its Asian management fleet. The company is adding a second new Gulfstream G650 to its fleet in April 2014.
