While his younger brother

Lyle sopped up the preseason hype, don’t sleep on Albany’s senior attackman, who had 43 goals and 30 assists in just 12 games during an injury- shortened 2013.

The fi rst thing I think of when I see the Iroquois fl ag is our people. It always brings me back to my rez, Onondaga. It also makes me proud to be Haudenosaunee. When we have visitors over, they ask what the fl ag is, if they don’t know. My brother and I will give them a little background on what it is and where it is from. It usually turns into a pretty long conversation. I actually got this fl ag from my cousin Ty’s [Mohawk] reservation.

Lyle and I wear No. 4 and No. 2, respectively, because my father wore both of these numbers when he won the Presidents Cup. My oldest brother, Jeremy, wore No. 4 at Syracuse and he now wears No. 74 for the Hamilton Nationals and Edmonton Rush. He needed to change his number when he got to the professional level because a veteran already had Nos. 4 and 2. He made it 74 because he wanted to honor the number 7, because he is an N7 rep for Nike and lives by the seven generations lifestyle (an ecological concept of sustainability), plus 4 because that was his favorite number. Jerome (second- oldest) wore No. 2 throughout his career and I went on to wear number No. 2 because I look up to him. Lyle looks up to Jeremy, so he wore No. 4.

I’m studying sociology at Albany. I would like to work with kids on my reservation after I graduate. I would also like to have a career playing professional lacrosse.

I really wish I was sponsored by Jordan, even though I play lacrosse. I own 15 pair of retro Air Jordans, so I have a pretty big collection. I used to play basketball in high school. Nowadays I only play pickup games with my brothers, but I would never wear a pair of retros in an actual game.

Lyle and I need to brush our hair before we braid it. It takes approximately four minutes to braid the whole thing. And yes, we do braid each other’s hair once a day in the morning and on game days. It is one of our rituals.
