Upside Learning has introduced its Framework for Responsive e-learning Development (FRED) to help clients develop responsive learning and performance support interventions for multiple devices. Today’s learners use multiple devices throughout the day for learning, work, entertainment and decision-making. They want information at the

4

moment of need and quickly lose interest if it is not available. The more flexibility and freedom they have in terms of when, where, how, and through which device to consume e-learning, the more likely they are to do so.

A responsive framework enables all data to sit on a single solution that can be easily modified across

all devices as opposed to the conventional method of separate versions for each device. It therefore delivers output across a variety of channels in an efficient and cost-effective manner and with quicker turnaround. According to Upside Learning, FRED is changing

how e-learning courseware is built for multi-device learning and will deliver reliability and speed.
