Aisin Holdings of America Invests in TN Casting Facility
Aisin Holdings of America
Inc., Seymour, Ind., plans to invest $53.8 million in its subsidiary Aisin Automotive Casting Tennessee in Clinton, Tenn. The firm expects to add 81 new jobs to its current 595-member team over the next two years. Occupying a 524,000-sq.-ft. facility, the additional equipment will support increased customer demand and new products secured for future models. “With the increasing sales of en-
gine components in North America, the role of our plant here in Clin- ton becomes even more important to the overall business expansion of the Aisin Group,” said Stephen Barnes, president, Aisin Automo- tive Casting Tennessee Inc. “The dedication of our team members along with the continued support from the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Devel- opment and TVA has provided this opportunity for Aisin to continue another stage of growth here in Anderson County.” The Clinton diecasting facility
includes casting, machining and assembly to produce engine components such as water pumps, oil pumps and pistons that will be installed in automobiles pro- duced by Aisin customers located throughout North America. Aisin Automotive is an automotive parts supplier for General Motors, Nissan and Toyota.
