Breakfast in bed C

Start your sweetie’s day with a warm, healthy meal

andlelight dinners get all the press, but in our opinion, breakfast is the food of lovers. What better way to engender fondness than by surprising your significant other with a

warm, soul-filling meal to start the day? Tese recipes offer unique, varied ways to say “I love you” as the

day breaks. Going for impressive? Te sweet potato latkes are your ticket. If you need something fast (Valentine’s Day falls on a weekday this year), serve up the nutty quinoa and the fruit smoothie. Does your partner prefer a rib-sticking repast? Choose the easy, unusual kasha pilaf with eggs; it’s like a healthier, tastier version of hash browns—and it’s gluten free. If your kids want in on the fun, they can help you make the Carrot Breakfast Muffins ahead of time; then simply warm and present on a tray with a soft-cooked egg, fresh fruit, and a smile.
