BOBCAT TELEHANDLERS 2014 WORKSAVER BOBCATALOG

Bobcat V417 versatility is unmatched in the industry with its more than 20 approved attachments

For projects that require more lift height, reach and capacity than smaller equipment, Bobcat Company offers the V417. The VersaHandler®

telescopic tool carrier, commonly known

as a telehandler, performs many of the same functions as a wheel loader, an attachment carrier and a rough-terrain forklift, in one machine.

STRAIGHT-FORWARD CONTROLS

Controls in the V417 are simple to use. A single loader-style joystick controls the lift and tilt functions. Joystick-mounted thumbwheel switches activate boom extension and auxiliary hydraulics for attachment use. Other telehandler brands have separate levers for auxiliary hydraulic functions, lift and tilt, and boom extension, making them more cumbersome to operate.

HYDROSTATIC TRANSMISSION Unlike many other telehandler brands, the Bobcat®

APPROVED ATTACHMENTS INCLUDE:

› Angle broom › Auger

› Brushcat™ rotary cutter

V417 comes

standard with a hydrostatic transmission, with no gears to select. The operator simply adjusts a directional lever that is mounted on the steering column and then presses on the accelerator pedal, like driving an automobile. Features of the hydrostatic transmission include on-the-fl y shifting between high- and low- drive speed range, good wheel torque for digging and pushing, a dynamic braking system, and an inching pedal that allows the operator to slow the machine while maintaining full engine rpm.

› Buckets: combination, rock

› Dozer blade › Grapple, industrial › Grapple, root

› Landscape rake › Mower › Pallet fork › Seeder › Scraper › Snow blade › Snow pusher › Snow V-blade

› Snowblower › Soil conditioner › Spreader › Sweeper › Tiller › Tilt carriage › Trencher › Truss boom

TOOL CARRIER

To get the most out of the V417, it has the popular Bob-Tach® attachment mounting system and can be paired with many of the same attachments used on large-frame Bobcat loaders.

TWO-STAGE, LOW-PROFILE BOOM

An advantage of the V417 is the low profi le of the boom and rear pivot point. The boom position provides excellent visibility to the operator’s right side. The low boom pivot point in the rear helps make the V417 a powerful machine when pushing because as the machine pushes, more of the weight stays on the front axle. The light, rigid frame and long wheel base provide for good lifting abilities to load materials into trucks or feed into a mixer.

V417

Easily load mixers with good visibility from inside the V417 cab.
