How do you and your friends usually travel to school? Well,

atmosphere — which will be great for the environment!

In art lessons, don’t throw away scraps of paper. Save them so

If you’ve not already got one, ask your teachers


to help make a vegetable garden at school. Plan it with your classmates carefully so it works in time with the seasons! You could even grow food for your school’s kitchen!

Spray your school


garden with a watering can, rather than a hose. That should help reduce the amount of water used.


Don’t just throw away unwanted


food from your packed lunch! Put it into a food bin so it can be turned


into compost. Once it’s decomposed (broken down into a mush) it can then be sprinkled onto your veggie patch to help them grow!

Why not become pen pals with kids from a school in another country? You can share


experiences and find out what life is like where they live!

15 SPREAD THE WORD! Make sure RECYCLE WHAT YOU READ! Before you buy new books,


ask friends and family if they’ve got any they can lend you. And hand your old books down to siblings or friends who may soon be studying themselves!
