Vector Aerospace Awarded Multiple Recertification by Sikorsky Aircraft for Overhaul and Repair of S-61 and S-76 Helicopters and Maintenance for S-76 Helicopters


Vector Aerospace Helicopter Services Inc., a global inde- pendent MRO provider, has recently been re-certified as a Sikorsky authorized S-76 and S-61 overhaul and repair center, and as a Sikorsky-authorized customer support center for the Sikorsky S-76 helicopter. With the re-certification, Vector Aerospace Helicopter


Services Inc. will continue to provide operators of Sikorsky helicopters with scheduled maintenance for the S-76 aircraft and repair, major overhaul and testing of certain components of the S-76 and S-61 aircraft. Vector and its predecessors have extensive experience with Sikorsky Aircraft and its products that spans more than 50 years. “HSNA has made significant investments over the years to our test facilities, inventory, tooling and training to provide superior levels of service for Sikorsky aircraft,” says Paul Cock- ell, president of Helicopter Services North America. “It is a pleasure to continue this well-established working relationship with Sikorsky. Nancy Barber Named Part 145 Administrator for Helicopter Specialties Inc.


Helicopter Specialties Inc. (HSI) of Janesville, WI, has named Nancy Barber as FAA Part 145 administrator. Barber previously served as an administrative assistant at HSI for two years. Part 145 of the Federal Aviation Regulations refers to the


rules governing FAA-certified repair stations. Barber also worked in the regulatory environment for a large helicopter fleet operator and brings her broad experience to her new position at HSI.

Alpine Aerotech LP announces that it has completed the pur- chase of the assets and operations of Canadian Heli Structures Ltd. (CHS) in Abbotsford, BC, Canada. Alpine Aerotech will operate the CHS business, with the same experienced and qualified CHS people, in its new Abbotsford airport loca- tion, but as a division under the Alpine Aerotech name.
