CJUG Recently Held Meetings:
CDISC Japan User Group (CJUG) held a recent meeting on Friday, 9 August 2013 from 13:00-17:00 at the ASAHI KASEI PHARMA CORPORATION in Tokyo, Japan. Three sessions were facilitated by Keiichiro SAKURABA of KISSEI PHARMACEUTICAL CO., Ltd., Yasutaka MORIGUCHI of Santen Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and Chikaaki NAKAO of ASAHI KASEI PHARMA CORPORATION. During this meeting, three new members, who have recently joined CJUG, attended this meeting. The CJUG members were Kunihito EBI of Fujitus Limited, Yuki OGASAWARA of Fujitu Systems East Limited, and Masafumi OKADA of the University of Tsukuba.
The Conference agenda consisted of four sessions full of sub-team lively discussions. During the first session, the EDC Builder group discussed their completed plans and activities. Trial Conduct, Study Data Reviewers Guide and Deliverables Usage Promotion topics were also discussed during the first session. Two themes were presented by Yasutaka MORIGUCHI of Santen Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (a member of the LISaS sub-team). The first theme illustrated the SDTM FILE SIZE ISSUE UPDATE2 and the second provided Feedback on SDRG Trial. The meeting was concluded with a presentation on "Spotfire" by Noriki NARUSE of TIBCO Software Japan Inc.
Another SDTM meeting was held by the CJUG team at Kyoto University Hospital, Kyoto on Friday, 13 September 2013 from 13:00-17:00. The meeting consisted of three sessions facilitated by Koichi TSUKIYAMA of EPS Corporation, Kumi UCHIDA of Yakult Honsha Co., Ltd., and Hiroko UEMACHI of Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma Co., Ltd. In addition, Mariko DOI and Hanae UEYAMA of Kyoto University Hospital were also present at this meeting.
The conference started with an online presentation by Wayne Kubick, CDISC CTO, who provided a talk on "CDISC Standards: Current State and Future Plans”. During the second session, four sub-teams conducted lively discussions about Trial Conduct, Study Data Reviewers Guide, Annotated CRF and Deliverables Usage Promotion. The meeting was concluded with the third session by a site tour at Kyoto University Hospital/Clinical Research Center (iACT)!
The team also met at ACRONET Corporation on Friday, 11 October 2013, from 13:00-17:00 in Tokyo, Japan. An online presentation on “Recent Development of Structured Product Labeling in Korea” was provided by Dr. Sukil Kim, an Associate Professor at Catholic University Medical College and founder/past leader of the Korean CDISC Coordinating Committee (K3C).
