The Headmaster and the Premises Sub-Committee looked at a number of options and concluded that these conditions would be best served by the installation of Sun Rain Style Awnings by Broadview Blinds. These offer a number of by providing a generous covered area for play as well as a sunshade which protects the classroom from the intense sun rays. This is in addition to providing a shelter from the inclement weather for parents when collecting the children after school. They also look very attractive set against the brickwork of the school building. Broadview Blinds Ltd was appointed to design a full weather structure that could be retractable in various locations around the school buildings totalling an overall area of 224 sqm2 of covered space. The “Sun-Rain” Style retractable frame awnings were installed projecting from the building and supported on specially fabricated steel structures for strength. Aesthetics were important in order for the awnings to look like part of the school construction so special powder coating of the hardware in anthracite grey colour was undertaken.

A total of seven Broadview Sun-Rain Terrace Frame awnings and one B28 Elite Cassette awning controlled with Somfy Centralis wall switches and cream vinyl flame retardent fabrics were supplied. Installation took just 3 days for the Broadview team.

The School Governors and Teaching Staff were delighted with the outcome commented that the whole project was handled in a very timely & professionally way by the Broadview team from start to finish. The project was both on time and within budget. The client was extremely impressed with the service and attention to detail from Broadview.
