Wh a t ’ s i n i t f o r me ? WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT

PB Live, taking place in November, is a one-day gathering of GP partners, practice managers and experts in the fi eld of healthcare management that promises to bring delegates all the useful content of Practice Business magazine as a live event. It is the only independent practice management event of its kind.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Anyone working in primary care with a management role. This means practice managers, managing GPs, practice partners, senior receptionists and senior administrative staff, as well as practice representatives on CCGs.

WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT Framed like a mini-MBA, this unmissable day will leave you better informed as a practice leader and able to face the uncertainties of the future NHS with confi dence. Because we are independent and not associated with any commercial companies or membership organisations, this is an opportunity to meet a wide range of people from across England’s primary care network unencumbered by hidden agendas. It is a unique chance to spend time with people you might not normally meet. Also, because we publish a strong editorial magazine, our seminar and content offering is second to none.

When: Monday 11 November 2013

Seminar streams will focus on: medicine for managers, success in practice, commissioning in action, managing people and ‘quick fi xes’.

MEDICINE FOR MANAGERS

Being up to date with everything clinical is important for practice managers and their colleagues. This seminar stream provides information on clinical QOFs, medicine optimisation, telehealth and coping with multi-morbidities.

SUCCESS IN PRACTICE

Sometimes it’s best to hear things from other people doing the same thing as you. So why not attend this series of seminars to hear some valuable advice from leading practice managers and partners.

COMMISSIONING IN ACTION

Involved or want to be involved in a CCG? This is the stream for you. Our speakers will be offering updates and advice for any practice manager who sits on a commissioning board, or just wants to be on the ball when it comes to the future of the NHS.

MANAGING PEOPLE

Managing people is one of the most important, and often challenging, responsibilities for practice managers. This seminar stream focusses on managing your staff, as well as dealing with patients and patient participation groups.

QUICK FIXES These are short, snappy, 20-minute sessions on everything from funding to going paperless.
