Nvidia continues pushing the boundaries of mobile processors

Nvidia has been giving a sneak peek at the GPU powering Project Logan, its next generation mobile processors.

Based on the revolutionary Kepler architecture, these new chips promise to bring the graphical power of desktops and workstations to mobile devices, thanks to low power, ultra-small chips.

With power usage as low as 2 to 3 watts which leads to cooler devices, the days of burning laps will soon be over.

Targeting professional users who require long-term storage, with broadcasters and the video production industry as potential targets, rumours speculate that the new format could be launched as early as 2015.
