KEEP WRESTLING IN THE OLYMPICS: Wrestling cleared its first major hurdle when the IOC Executive Board selected it as one of three sports to be considered for the final provisional spot in the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games.
U.S. WORLD TEAM TRIALS: Jordan Burroughs took two straight from Kyle Dake, including the second match in overtime, to highlight an exciting U.S. World Team Trials on June 21-22 at Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Okla.
RUMBLE ON THE RAILS: The U.S., Iran and Russia put on a great show during a memorable international dual-meet event in May at Grand Central Station in New York City. Teams competed during World Wrestling Month.
UNITED 4 WRESTLING: Olympic champion Jordan Burroughs and World champion Elena Pirozhkova earned victories when the U.S., Russia and Canada competed in a freestyle and women’s freestyle dual in Los Angeles.
