Presidential Address

JFS President, Lord Michael Levy, gave his annual address to Year 13 students in their final assembly.

Lord Levy gave the students inspirational messages for their future. Speaking from his personal experiences of professional practice and commerce, having built up and sold several successful companies, Lord Levy encouraged students to make the most of opportunities that will come their way in the future.

Lord Levy served as a senior member of Prime Minister Tony Blair’s inner circle, acting as his personal envoy and adviser on the Middle East. When opening the floor to questions, students asked Lord Levy many searching questions about his experiences of the Middle East peace process, his assessment of the current political leadership in Great Britain as well as his visions for the future.

We are grateful to Lord Levy for his ongoing support and guidance and students gained a great deal from his address.

Minyan Treat

Some of the JFS students, who regularly attend the School Minyan, went to Thorpe Park to celebrate Lag B’Omer (the Yarzheit of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai). The students

explored the park in small groups enjoying the rides together. At lunchtime everyone gathered together for lunch and took part in a special ‘Lunch and Learn’ session run by JiEP, learning about the story of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai and the

significance of Lag B’Omer , why we celebrate his life with joy.

If students would like to join the daily Minyan, join us in the Shul every morning at 7:30am and share a bumper breakfast with your friends.
