UK HIP-HOP wordsmith Ty returns with ‘Kick Snare & An Idea Part 2’ on the 10th of June, dropping two new tracks, ‘Well Well Well’ and ‘Let’s Start’. Considering it’s title, ‘Let’s Start’ takes a good old while before Ty gets started proper. When he does though, it’s a warm and welcome reminder that not


all MCs write their lyrics on the back of a fag packet on the way to the studio, or perform over sickly EDM synth lines because that’s where the cash music is these day. In his own words, “I’m trying to make meaningful music.” Job done.

KINGS OF THE 808 BASS BOOM, Leeds duo Mak & Pasteman dropped us this podcast to celebrate the launch of their new white label series MAP.
