is well-suited for machining aluminum, alloy and steel parts with a 12,000-rpm spindle and 30-tool maga- zine that provides a two- second chip-to-chip time for continuous high-speed mill- ing operations. The CUT 200 wire EDM features extremely

fast axis speeds and quick wire threading that reduce non-cut times. Econowatt modules conserve energy by managing the electrical power of the machine. The FORM 20 sinker EDM features high-end intelligent Power Generator (IPG) with available IQ zero electrode wear technology and the AC Form HMI CNC that combines user friendliness and intuitiveness to shorten the learning curve for beginner EDM operators. Chuck Collet Line, Gear Hobbing System The dual collet chuck line or CNC turning machines doubles the capacity of individual turret positions to increase a ma- chine’s tool storage capacity and expand tooling versatility to reduce job setup times. The Exsys/ Eppinger compact gear hobber sys- tem allows shops to quickly and easily interchange the systems’ arbor for holding various sizes of slotting saws and gear hobs. Tool changes take just seconds by removing the yoke plate and sliding the arbor out. The base of the toolholder remains in its station. The gear-driven gear hobbing system is designed for heavy machin- ing loads for 45 N•m of torque and

speeds up to 3000 rpm for hobs or slotting saws up to 2.480" (63 mm) in diameter. The Preci-Flex tooling system for quick accurate and cost effective lathe changeovers will be shown. Exsys Tool Inc. Ph: 352-588-4345 Web site: www.exsys-tool.com

Combo Tap

New patented design is effective in eliminating oversize threading problems that result from using high helix spiral fluted taps, which are effective in removing shavings from tapped holes. In addition, the common problem of shavings

wrapping around the tap shank is reduced, creating safer environment for the machine operator. The design is suitable for most metals and is available in bright and TlCN coating in both inch from #4-1; metric from 3 to 24 mm. YG-1 Tool Co. Ph: 847-634-3700 Web site: www.yg1usa.com

Grinding, Turning, Milling Technology Full line of grinding, turning, and milling machines will be shown. The FBL0510MC lathe is designed for pipe threading for gas, oil and related industries. The FBL-360A 45° slant- bed lathe features rigid boxways and programmable tailstock and is engineered for ease of access and maintenance. The compact FTC-1320V with front pallet change is well-suited for high- speed drilling, tapping and milling. The FVL- 12HT vertical turning

lathe can handle heavy and hard-to-hold workpieces and can be used in automation or celluar manufacturing. Grinding machines include the SMART-B818III, which is capable of producing mirror surface finishes on highly accurately ground workpieces, and the FSG-1224ADIII precision surface grind- ing machine.

Advanced Tooling Systems Tooling systems include slim-nose powRgrip 6 (PG6), secuR- grip and the new millTite milling chuck holder. For milling, the new millTite milling chucks are designed to provide the least possible runout and highest gripping force for a milling chuck. Ideal for roughing and finishing, the millTite chucks provide concentricity of 0.0004" (0.01 mm) at 4 × D. MillTite chucks work in CAT 40, CAT 50, BT-40 and HSK 63A spindles. Chuck sleeves accommodate collet di- ameters from 0.250 to 1.00" (6.35–25.4 mm). The PG6 toolholder has a minimal outside diam- eter of 0.4" (10 mm) and a clamping diameter range from 0.008 to 0.125" (0.20–3.2 mm) and runout accuracy
