Yaskawa launches remote supervision software for Motoman robots
Load Cells
hinese manufacturers are increasingly utilising HBM’s FIT/5 digital load cells within integrated digital weighing technology as they consistently upgrade to improve competitiveness. The FIT/5 load cells offer many benefits to users including high accuracy, very fast measurement and simplified integration. FIT/5 digital load cells are now highly successful in the Chinese market as manufacturers start to integrate digital technology. The FIT/5 is useful for a wide range of applications including filling machines for different products ranging from oil through care products and beverages. They operate with particular accuracy and speed when weighing technology is used to control the filling process. Both established large manufacturers as well as many medium-sized enterprises in China already place their trust in HBM’s digital weighing technology because of the high confidence in both the load cells’ high quality and reliability and the professional support services provided by HBM.

he MotoWeb supervision software for Motoman industrial robots can be used for remote diagnostics from the Yaskawa service centre, which means that trouble shooting and support is faster and more efficient. This software can receive real-time
T
information from robot controllers located anywhere in the world using a standard web browser. It can also be used to upload robot programmes and parameter files to a robot controller. MotoWeb can be installed in a network environment that blocks direct communications with the robots from the business network, or in an open network environment. MotoWeb is suitable for supervision, robot status control, remote trouble shooting and support. It can also be used for automatic scheduled backup to any PC in the network or manual backup, initiated from the remote PC.

New book demonstrates the scope of thermal imaging in automation
LIR thermal imaging cameras for automation enable manufacturers to validate and increase product quality and throughput, minimise waste and improve profitability.
F These fixed mounted models are sufficiently
discrete to be easily accommodated into any production line allowing complete, uncomplicated and highly cost effective monitoring systems to be created with third party control
software. The wide application scope of the FLIR Systems A-Series cameras is celebrated in a newly published e-book. It demonstrates how the technology can work in the most hostile environments with no need for additional lighting, providing round-the-clock temperature measurement, even in the presence of dust, steam and smoke.
Fire
prevention is the perfect application for fixed mounted thermal imaging. Its use in coal plants, natural gas production and solid waste bunkers is detailed
in the book. The technology is also ideal for monitoring the status of gas flares and the health of refractories. Warehouse and asset protection is another growth area where FLIR cameras are used to detect hotspots that could lead to fire. Process quality is also an important area of application. Examples in the book include plywood manufacture and inspection of composite panels at FIAT.

The widest range of relief valves for pneumatic & hydraulic applications
ifold provide the widest range of relief valves for pneumatic and hydraulic instrument applications with pressures ranging from 7 to 1300 bar. Our relief valves are suitable for safety applications. Many other relief valves of this type on the market, fail to perform the correct safety function required. The Bifold pneumatic relief valves have a very high flow and low dead band. The relief valves are a safety device designed to match Bifold’s high flow filter regulators. The device will limit the over pressure to less than110% of the set point in the event of a filter regulator mis-operation. Bifold precision relief valves have very high sealing forces along with accurate and narrow dead bands allowing system design pressure to be reduced.

High-precision version of
HLCB2 load cell
BM has launched a high-precision version of its HLCB2 load cells for the construction of scales with a C6 accuracy class conforming to OIML regulations.
The load cells are available with
maximum capacities ranging from 220 kg to 4.4 tonnes and are characterized by hermetic encapsulation in addition to their very high precision. They are available with either IP68 or IP69K degree of protection facilitating their use in applications operating in dusty or damp ambient conditions. The design has been optimised so that any force applied is implemented consistently so that measurement errors are avoided. In addition different loading feet can be fitted to ensure optimal placement in an application. Typical applications for the HLCB2 load cells are in the food or pharmaceutical sectors, for instance in silo or container scales. These areas require both very high accuracy and, for hygienic reasons, the ability to withstand daily cleaning with high-pressure steam cleaners.
