AMI magazine Apps pass 20,000 download mark

The iPad/iPhone and Android Apps for AMI’s four plastics industry magazines have exceeded 20,000 downloads in just 14 months. “We have been delighted by

the response to the Apps which are helping to grow the international audiences for our four magazines,” said Andy Beevers, head of business publishing at AMI. “The USA is leading the way in the number of downloads, but we are also seeing very strong demand in markets such as China, India, Thailand, Turkey, Mexico and Brazil”. The free Apps for Injection World, which are sponsored by

Maguire, have been download- ed 7,659 times to date. Downloads of the Apps for the other three magazines – Com- pounding World, Film and Sheet Extrusion and Pipe and

Profile Extrusion – take the current total to 20,425. “Our magazines are still

mostly read online using computers, but more and more people are discovering the benefits of reading them on tablet computers and smart- phones, especially as our Apps mean that the magazines can still be read when you’re offline,” said Beevers. The Injection World App

provides access to the 15 most recent editions. You can find and download the Apps by searching for the magazine title or ‘AMI Plastics’ in iTunes, Apple’s App Store or Google Play. ❙ www.amimagazines.com
