Supporting your learning

Ours is a profession built on learning and in 2013 we’ll be tailoring our CPD program to better meet the needs of our members.

• In 2013, we will offer more than 70 substantive law seminars for lawyers at the early to intermediate stages of their careers, and more than 40 seminars for experienced practitioners.

• Our Rule 42 seminars will cover compulsory units in ethics, practice management and professional skills, taught by some of the state’s leading experts.

• We will continue our focus on web-based CPD through “My CLE Library” to meet the needs of busy and regionally-based lawyers.

Supporting your wellbeing

We’re under no illusions. The law can be a demanding profession. That’s why we’re committed to providing the resources our members need to stay well.

• Around 3,000 NSW lawyers have attended “The Lawyer’s Guide to Sanity, Profitability and Wellbeing” seminars.

• Our Member Assistance Program (MAP) offers direct access to confidential, independent advice on issues affecting your mental health.

• The Young Lawyers Mental Health and Wellbeing resource provides information and advice on looking after yourself and those around you.
